What is the Lord & Taylor Benefit Bash?
A special day of shopping, events and discounts benefiting local area charities.

When is the application deadline?

How will I know if my group's application has been accepted?
You will receive a confirmation letter by mid-September, or you can call our hotline 1-877-954-5646 and you will receive a return call with your group´s status.
When will I receive my tickets?
We will host an informational luncheon, to distribute tickets and answer all remaining questions. One representative from each organization will be required to attend. All details will be included in the acceptance letter.
Are there special selling incentives?
Yes! Lord & Taylor will award bonus donations of $2000 and $1500 to the top two organizations with the highest tickets sales and to the top two with the highest in attendance.
What will my group do at the Benefit Bash?
Volunteer to staff a table for walk-in ticket sales and to greet customers. This will be discussed in detail at the kick-off luncheon.
Is the store open to the general public?
Anyone can enter the store, but only those purchasing a ticket are entitled to the special savings.
Can tickets be purchased on the day of the event?
Yes. Proceeds from walk-in ticket sales will be evenly distributed among all participating charities selling at least 50 tickets. Checks will be issued 8-10 weeks after the event.
What is the maximum number my group can sell?
Unlimited. Each charity will receive 200 at the luncheon; they will be distributed in lots of 100 after that.
Do the tickets cost my group anything?
No. Lord & Taylor produces the tickets. The charity sells them for $5 a piece.
Does Lord & Taylor keep a percentage of the tickets sales?
No. It is all kept by the charity.
How long can my group sell tickets?
Until the day before the event – November 12, 2008
Can we sub-out tickets and have other groups sell for us?
Yes, but you will be responsible for the financial and numerical accounting of all tickets.
Will Lord & Taylor support the Benefit Bash with any advertising?
Yes. We will run ads promoting the Benefit Bash in local papers and issue press releases announcing the charity day and all related events.
What types of events will be held?
Guest authors with complimentary book signings, contests, children's events and more.
What are the special discounts?
A 15% savings pass valid on cosmetics and fragrances to be used all day throughout the store and a 20% coupon good on one special item. Both discounts have virtually no exclusions.

Tuesday December 2, 2008 - all day 9AM - 10PM.
Is the store open to the general public?
Anyone can enter the store, but only those purchasing a ticket are entitled to the special savings.
Can tickets be purchased on the day of the event?
Yes. Tickets will be sold at the door as well as in-store, at every cash register, starting November 13, 2008.
How much are the tickets and what are the benefits?
Tickets are $5 a piece and 100% of the proceeds directly benefit The NYC Fund for Public Schools.
Does Lord & Taylor keep a percentage of the tickets sales?
No. It is all kept by the charity.

Every $5 ticket entitles you to a 15% savings pass to be used all day throughout the store and a 20% coupon good on one special item. Plus a special 10% savings pass valid on cosmetics and fragrances. Some exclusions may apply.
